Havovi Trivedi specializes in the area of Marketing & Human Resource Management, and the subject of her M.Phil. research was a study of these aspects of the fast food industry in Ahmedabad. Before joining BKMIBA she taught at H.L. College of Commerce (Gujarat University) for more than thirty-three years, and had also held the post of Head of Department in Management. She was also in-charge Director of the AES Postgraduate Institute of Business Management during 2000-02.

She has been the recepient of a number of academic award including the UGC Fellowship (1987-88), a college Fellowship (1966-67), and the National Merit Scholarship (1963-66). She has also taught as visiting faculty at the National Institute of Design (NID), the Enterpreneurship Development Institute (EDI), the Institute of Hotel Management, catering and Nutrition (IHMCN), the Gujarat University of School of Commerce (Visiting M.Phil. Faculty), and the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). Additionally, she has also served on the Board of Studies in Management at Gujarat University and is a member of the AMA.
